Planned for how students in Africa actually apply
A student in Lagos on Cambridge A Levels, a student in Cairo on an American diploma and a student in Dakar finishing the baccalauréat français are preparing for different exams, on different calendars, for different universities. We plan for the student in front of us, not for a continent.
Your curriculum and your board
British, IB, American, French and national systems run side by side in international schools across the continent. Lessons follow your board and your specification, down to the paper you will actually sit.
Your destination
The US, the UK, Canada, continental Europe, Türkiye or a university at home: the exam, the score worth aiming for and the timeline all follow from where you are applying.
Your time zone
The countries on this site run from UTC+0 in Accra, Abidjan and Dakar to UTC+3 in Nairobi. Lessons are booked in your own time, around the school day rather than across it.
Online, and plain about it
We teach online. We have no centre, no office and no school partnership anywhere in Africa, and nothing on this site suggests otherwise.

How it works
The first step is the same for every programme. What happens next depends on the programme, and we say exactly what, rather than promising every student the same test.
Free intro call
Fifteen minutes with an advisor, free and without obligation. You leave knowing which programme fits, roughly what it costs and what timeline is realistic.
Starting point
SAT, ACT, GMAT, GRE, PTE, IELTS, TOEFL and TR-YOS begin with a free full-length diagnostic. IB, AP and IGCSE use the first lesson as the assessment. For the other programmes the method is agreed with you on the intro call.
Written plan
A plan built from where you start and when you sit the exam: what comes first, how many lessons that realistically takes, and when full practice tests begin.
Lessons and progress
Live 90-minute lessons with set work after each one, and progress notes for the family. The plan is re-read against every new score.
Taught by specialists, not generalists
49 named tutors, each on the exam or subject they know best. They are the TestPrep group’s tutors and they teach online; none of them is described here as living in Africa.

The group’s track record
TestPrep has taught since 2008. The figures below belong to the whole group and were earned mostly with students in Türkiye and Europe. There is no Africa-specific figure yet, and we will not publish one until there are enough students here for it to mean something.
- years of teaching
- 18+
- exam programmes taught
- 17
- student satisfaction, group-wide
- 83%
- universities students were admitted to
- 150+
Group-wide figure, earned across every market TestPrep teaches in — not an Africa-only figure. Satisfaction is measured by the survey sent at the end of each programme: a student counts as satisfied when they rate their tutor, the programme and the overall experience at 4 or more out of 5.
See the group’s published resultsEnglish, French and Arabic — and what that covers
The website is fully trilingual. That is not the same as every service being delivered in every language, so here is exactly what is.
This website
Every page exists in full in all three languages, with the same information and policies.
Your enquiry
Write to us in English, French or Arabic and we reply in the language you wrote in.
Your lessons
Taught in English, the language every exam on this site is sat in. If explanations in French or Arabic would help, say so on the intro call and we will tell you honestly whether a tutor who can teach in that language is available for your subject.
